Team Canada’s Olympic Roster: Triumphs and Tragedies

Team Canada’s 2010 Olympic hockey squad was revealed yesterday, and there has been the usual backlash of criticism and controversy regarding some of the selections.  TSN’s coverage of the selected players (and the omitted ones) can be found by clicking here.  Before we get into the reactions of players around the league, here’s a list of the team as well as some notable exceptions.

U.S. Olympic Team Announcement to be Shown on ESPN 8: The Ocho

The announcement of the roster for the United States 2010 Olympic hockey team will be televised at 4:00 AM on ESPN Ocho on December 31. While the announcement of the Canadian roster will be broadcast live nationally and watched by millions on the country’s biggest sprots network (TSN), the selection of the American roster will be shown on a station that specializes in dodgeball and lawnmower races among others.
